Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz twisted pasta (rotini, fusilli, or gemelli)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes, lemon juice, roasted mushrooms, baby spinach
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- Mix in the cooked pasta and stir until well coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, replace the chicken with sautéed mushrooms or white beans. The dish can be customized with additional vegetables like spinach or sundried tomatoes.
