Description
Festive Brie Phyllo Layers are a golden, flaky holiday appetizer made with creamy brie, sweet cranberry sauce, toasted pecans, and fresh thyme, wrapped in buttery phyllo dough.
Ingredients
• 1 sheet frozen phyllo dough, thawed
• 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
• 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
• 1/4 cup chopped pecans
• 3 tbsp melted butter
• 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
• Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. Place phyllo sheet on tray and brush with melted butter.
3. Layer brie slices across the center of the phyllo.
4. Spoon cranberry sauce over brie, then sprinkle pecans and thyme.
5. Fold in the edges of the phyllo, partially enclosing the filling.
6. Brush the top with more melted butter.
7. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and bubbly.
8. Let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
– Keep phyllo dough covered with a damp towel to prevent drying.
– You can substitute fig jam or apricot preserves for cranberry sauce.
– Toasted walnuts or pistachios work well instead of pecans.
– Brie rind is edible, but removing it creates a smoother texture.
– Not microwave-friendly—reheat in oven for best crispiness.
