Description

This Mediterranean Baked Feta Appetizer with Pita is warm, creamy, and bursting with savory Greek flavors. Tangy feta cheese bakes in olive oil with cherry tomatoes, garlic, and herbs, served with warm pita wedges for dipping — an effortlessly impressive party starter or quick snack.


Ingredients

• 1 block (8 oz) feta cheese

• 1 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved

• 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

• 2 garlic cloves, minced

• 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

• Freshly ground black pepper to taste

• 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

• 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil (optional)

• 1 pack pita bread, cut into wedges


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Place the block of feta in a small baking dish.

3. Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes around the feta.

4. Drizzle everything with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano, and black pepper.

5. Bake for 20 minutes, until the feta is soft and the tomatoes are bubbling.

6. Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for a golden top.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley and basil.

8. Serve immediately with warm pita wedges for dipping.
