• 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
• 1/2 wheel Camembert cheese, sliced
• 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
• 2 tbsp honey
• 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
• Pinch of salt
• Extra thyme sprigs (for garnish)
• Cracked black pepper (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface to smooth creases.
3. Arrange pear slices on one half of the pastry, top with sliced Camembert.
4. Fold the other half over, press lightly, and cut into 1-inch strips.
5. Twist each strip and place on the baking sheet.
6. Brush with egg wash.
7. Bake for 18–22 minutes until puffed and golden.
8. Meanwhile, gently warm honey, thyme, and salt in a small saucepan.
9. Remove baked twists from oven, let cool slightly, drizzle with warm thyme honey.
10. Garnish with extra thyme and cracked pepper before serving.
Notes
– For a milder twist, substitute Brie for Camembert.
– Bosc or Anjou pears also work well.
– Use dried thyme if fresh is unavailable—just reduce to 1/2 tsp.
– Best served warm; reheat in oven for crispiness.
– Assemble ahead and refrigerate unbaked for up to 6 hours.
